JWoww suffered heartbreaking miscarriage before Jersey Shore season four

Jersey Shore’s Jwoww suffered a miscarriage weeks before she had to film the fourth season of the Mtv show.

JWoww, real name Jenni Farley, became a small screen sensation from 2009 to 2012 thanks to the reality TV series, about a group of young Italian-Americans living together in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

For the fourth instalment, the cast, which also included Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and Paul ‘Pauly D’ DelVecchio, headed to Italy to film in 2011, with tempers running even higher than normal between the fiery group of friends.

Jenni has now revealed what was going on in her life just before the cameras rolled.

“Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger (Mathews, husband) actually lost a baby… not a lot of people know,” she opened up to Mike on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

“They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life. The medication – it was ike Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy. I was a f**king mess.”

The 32-year-old has since gone on to welcome two children with Roger.

The cast, also including Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Nicole Buckner, have reunited for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which airs in the U.S. on Thursday nights on MTV.
