Country star Kacey Musgraves is set to take the modeling world by storm after landing a top contract with IMG Models.
The Rainbow hitmaker has been unveiled as the latest addition to the global company’s line-up of beauties.
“NOW REPRESENTING: #KaceyMusgraves,” an IMG Models representative wrote on Twitter.
The singer confirmed the new gig by reposting the tweet on her own account, and commented, “So excited to be joining the @IMGmodels fam (sic)”.
She joins the likes of runway regulars Bella and Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Karlie Kloss, and Lily Aldridge on IMG’s books.
The news emerges after Kacey stunned on the pink carpet at Monday night’s (May 6, 19) Met Gala in New York City, where she was transformed into a real-life Barbie doll with the help of Moschino designer Jeremy Scott.
Wearing a hot pink leather moto gown with a long matching stole, she carried a pink hairdryer-shaped purse and completed her look with a long, wavy blonde wig. Her appearance was an exact replica of the Moschino Barbie doll Scott had designed for The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new Camp: Notes on Fashion exhibition.
Kacey clearly had a ball dressing up for fashion’s big night after sharing snaps of her image overhaul on social media.
“LIFE IN PLASTIC WAS FANTASTIC,” she captioned one post, while alongside another, she wrote, “maybe blondes DO have more fun @Moschino x @Barbie – at The Metropolitan Museum of Art”.
However, there was one aspect of the Barbie look she just couldn’t “commit” to – the blue contact lenses.
“I just actually like…really couldn’t see,” she confessed. “Sort of important I guess”.
