Katt Williams arrested for assault

Embattled comedian Katt Williams has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a retail employee in Georgia.
The funnyman reportedly became engaged in a verbal altercation with a worker at a pool supply store in Gainesville on Monday (29Feb16), when the dispute turned violent. Williams stands accused of throwing an object at the clerk, who he then punched, according to TMZ.com.
Police were called to investigate and Williams, who has been in and out of jail in recent years, was supposedly found lying on the ground, with his hands behind his back, ready for cops to arrest him.
He is currently being held on $5,000 (£3,592) bail.
Williams, 42, is also due to stand trial for a felony count of robbery after allegedly teaming up with rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight to steal a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills in 2014. The comedian faces seven years behind bars if convicted.
