Kennedy Jr. divorces wife after 911 calls

Officers twice visited the couple’s residence in Bedford, New York in May (10) as their 16-year marriage fell apart. The first call-out was over a “dispute involving the children” and the second was for a “domestic incident”.

Now documents filed at Westchester County Clerk’s office, obtained by the New York Post, reveal Kennedy Jr. demanded a divorce two days after the first 911 call.

Three days after the papers were served, Mary was arrested for DUI after her car mounted a pavement outside a school in Bedford.

Sources tell the publication that Kennedy Jr. – son of assassinated politician Robert F. Kennedy – called an end to their marriage over his wife’s drinking and “other problems”.

The couple wed in April 1994 just weeks after his divorce from his first wife, Emily Black.
