Khalid confirms El Paso benefit concert

Khalid has locked in his benefit concert for the victims and survivors of the El Paso, Texas mass shooting earlier this month (Aug19).
The Love Lies singer recently announced plans to stage the gig for the El Paso Shooting Victims’ Fund and the El Paso Community Foundation, and now he has a date and a venue.
He and some special guests will perform at the city’s Don Haskins Center on 1 September.
“I have been rocked to the core by the horrific act of gun violence that came to El Paso, and by the continued acts of senseless violence that our country faces daily,” Khalid says. “I want to give back to my community of El Paso, the city of the 915, who has given so much to me. Please come out and let’s heal together through music while raising money to help those who need it.”
Imagine Dragons star Dan Reynolds is also trying to stage a concert for gun violence-awareness to benefit those affected by this month’s mass shooting incidents in Texas, Ohio and California. He has so far received support from DJ Zedd and The Head & the Heart.
