Kirsten Dunst’s Wedding Dress to be Designed by Rodarte Pals

Kirsten Dunst has asked her Rodarte designer friends to create her wedding dress.

The Spiderman actress, who is engaged to her Fargo co-star Jesse Plemons, is getting her dress for the big day made by talented sisters Laura and Kate Mulleavy.

Kirsten is a firm favourite of the Rodarte designers and has been seen on the red carpet in a number of their designs, most recently at the premiere of her new movie Woodshock earlier this week (18Sep17).

And not only are the duo talented designers, they are also the writers and directors of Woodshock.
“How many directors make a wedding dress for the person in the film and then make other dresses that you wear,” Kate told People magazine excitedly when she was quizzed about being part of Kirsten’s big day.

“It’s actually really strange but it means a lot,” she added. “I think we’ve actually only done a handful of wedding dresses in our career, and we’ve only done them for people that we’re really close with because it’s an emotional thing you know when you wear it to get married… it’s just a magical thing to create that’s kind of going to be exciting.”

The Fargo star, who likes to keep her private life secret, went public with the couple’s engagement news in early January (17), when she hit the red carpet sporting a beautiful diamond ring on her left hand.

Kirsten has since thrown herself into the planning process and has become a huge fan of Pinterest since she started planning her nuptials.

“It’s so funny, I never thought I’d be that person who’d have a Pinterest board,” she confessed during a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “I love doing all that, like, pinning things (on the app).”
