Korn pull the plug on Pointfest show

Heavy rockers Korn have pulled out of a performance at this weekend’s (13-14May17) Pointfest in Missouri so frontman Jonathan Davis can rest his vocals.
The band was booked to appear on Saturday night’s bill in St. Louis, but, according to a post on Korn’s Facebook page, the frontman is under “doctor’s orders” not to sing.
In a video message explaining the Pointfest cancellation, Davis says: “My voice is thrashed. I’ve had to cancel some shows. This stuff happens sometimes. There’s nothing I can do about it. I need to rest up and get my voice back in good singing shape.
“I’ll be out there rocking you guys hopefully next weekend at Rock On The Range.”
The group recently postponed a handful of tour dates due to “unforeseen circumstances”, and Davis and his bandmates recently returned from a South American tour, which featured Metallica star Robert Trujillo’s 12-year-old son Tye on bass, replacing regular band member Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu, who was unable to make the tour.
It is still not clear why Fieldy missed the dates or whether his issues led to the postponement of concerts this month (May17).
