Late Powers Boothe was quietly battling cancer for months before his death

Sin City star Powers Boothe died from cancer-related cardiopulmonary arrest, according to the actor’s death certificate.
The star died in his sleep at his Los Angeles home on 14 May (17), aged 68.
The immediate cause of death was a fatal heart attack, but Powers had been quietly battling pancreatic cancer for at least six months.
Famous friends like Val Kilmer and Beau Bridges paid tribute to Boothe following his death. He was laid to rest during a private family service in Texas.
Boothe made his screen debut in 1977 film The Goodbye Girl and starred as the villainous Senator Roark in 2005’s Sin City and 2014 sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
