“So excited to be the #GlamMasters host and one of its judges. Can’t wait for you all to see the glam we have in store for you February 28,” Laverne wrote, as well as re-posting Kim’s tweet which featured a teaser video for the program, listing those featuring in it as dramatic music plays and models are covered in face paint, powder and glitter.
“So excited to announce the premiere date, host and judges for #GlamMasters, the new beauty competition series I’m executive producing. Tune in to @lifetimetv on Feb 28!” Kim shared alongside the clip.
Laverne will be joined by the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star’s own make-up artist, Mario Dedivanovic, YouTube beauty pro Kandee Johnson, who has nearly four million subscribers, and fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi, who co-founded cosmetics company Milk Makeup and works at Marie Claire.
Glam Masters is to be an eight-episode series which challenges competing beauty bloggers to show off their skills and eventually become a part of Kim’s empire, boasting her line KKW Beauty. Four participants will go against each other in each episode, with finalists eventually battling it out to be the winner.
“I’m such a beauty-junkie and am fascinated by how artists are able to transform someone’s look with make-up and couldn’t be more ecstatic for them to show what they can really do,” Kim said in May (17).
“We are so excited to bring Kim’s trend-setting vision of style and beauty to television’s newest competition series,” Liz Gateley, Lifetime’s head of programming, added at the time. “The stakes couldn’t be higher with the chance to work with one of the most successful entrepreneurs and brands on the planet.”
