What would a presidential campaign be without nasty, smear commercials? Thankfully, we’ll never have to know. Striking union actors on Monday reached a deal with some 300 commercial producers, including ones that’ll produce spots for White House hopefuls Al Gore and George W. Bush.
Hollywood’s two leading thespian guilds hit the picket line on May 1 — the Industry’s first major strike since 1988. Until a final, official deal is worked out, their work stoppage remains in place against the majority of commercial producers.
