Liam Payne helping Charlie Puth cope with fame

Liam Payne has been counselling his friend Charlie Puth on how to cope with the pressures of fame.
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter penned Liam’s latest single Bedroom Floor, and has seen his own star rise after a string of hit singles, including a collaboration with Selena Gomez.
And Charlie says that although the One Direction star, 24, is younger than him, he’s asked him for advice on how to deal with being in the spotlight.
He tells Britain’s Daily Star newspaper, “I have a lot of eyes on me lately, and it’s really weird for me to be a famous dude, so why not get some advice from a dude that has been famous for a bit longer than me?
“What’s interesting is that he is a bit younger than me but he has things to say when it comes to dealing with this life. It might seem a little bit obvious, but it’s cool hearing the advice come from him.”
The star’s rising fame has resulted in an increase in selfie requests from fans, but he says he’s comfortable turning away people who approach him in public.
“I’m from New Jersey – I don’t f**k with brown-nosing people too much,” he says. “If I don’t want to do it then I just won’t.”
Liam has found love with fellow British popstar Cheryl, with whom he had a son, Bear, in March (17) – but Charlie says he doesn’t ask his pal for tips on how to find romance.
He explains, “I ain’t getting no girl advice from Liam! He’s a good pal but I’m OK.”
The Attention singer is also pals with Liam’s old One Direction bandmates and says he’s working on new music with one of them.
He adds, “I’m really good friends with Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson too. To be in the studio nowadays means sending files back and forth. That’s the 2017 version of being in the studio – but in that respect, yes, I have been in the studio with one. I can’t really say who.”
