Lindsay Lohan missing Hollywood while on hiatus

Lindsay Lohan still finds herself pining for Hollywood, despite her decision to take a break from making movies.
The actress has stepped away from the spotlight in recent years, following two driving under the influence incidents and three spells in rehab facilities.
Now based in Europe, Lindsay has admitted that she sometimes misses the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles.
“I miss it,” she told E! News. “But at the same time, I’m creating a bunch of different things on my own so I want to focus on what I’m doing.”
In spite of appearing in a string of successful movies in the early 2000s, such as 2004’s Mean Girls, Lindsay hasn’t fronted a mainstream project since she portrayed the late Elizabeth Taylor in the 2012 Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick.
During her break, the star has been able to reflect on what she finds to be truly meaningful in her life.
“I think there’s a lot of noise that we deal with, so I found a kind of peace in life working with children and helping other people that really interest me,” she added.
Appearing at the 2017 amfAR gala held during the Cannes Film Festival at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Thursday (25May17) in Cap d’Antibes, France, Lindsay also told E! News that she now splits her time between London and Dubai, and has recently wrapped production on a horror movie titled The Shadow Within.
Meanwhile, Lindsay has been open about her interest in Islamic religious practices of late, and took to Instagram on Saturday to wish her online followers a happy Ramadan, the holy month observed by Muslims.
The 30-year-old shared a photo of herself wearing a floor-length floral gown in what looked like a hotel room, captioning the image, “#happyramadan”.
