Lorde and Diplo spark dating rumours

Singer Lorde and DJ Diplo have sparked dating rumours after they were photographed holding hands following the Brit Awards on Wednesday (24Feb16).
The Royals star performed a touching tribute to late rock icon Davie Bowie at the London prizegiving and after the ceremony, the 19-year-old was spotted warmly embracing Diplo as they headed to an afterparty together.
The musicians have yet to address the romance speculation, which emerges a year-and-a-half after the pair feuded online over comments Diplo made about Lorde’s friend Taylor Swift. The 37-year-old hit headlines when he posted a suggestive message on Twitter.com, which read: “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty.”
Lorde quickly jumped to the Shake It Off singer’s defence, slamming Diplo by writing, “@Diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it hm (sic).”
Swift and Diplo settled their minor fall-out at a Grammy Awards afterparty in 2015.
Diplo previously dated M.I.A from 2003 to 2008 and was also more recently linked to singer Katy Perry.
Lorde had reason to celebrate following the BRIT Awards after singing Bowie’s famous track Life on Mars? alongside members of his backing band from his A Reality Tour in 2003.
While the singer admitted she was nervous leading up to her performance, David’s son Duncan took to Twitter.com to heap praise on her.
“Finally found the links to tonight’s Brits. Just… beautiful. Thank you,” he wrote.
Lorde had previously paid tribute to Bowie following his tragic passing in January (16), when she recalled meeting him at the age of 17, as she attended a party in New York held to honour actress Tilda Swinton.
“I’ve never met a hero of mine and liked it. It just sucks, the pressure is too huge, you can’t enjoy it,” Lorde wrote on her Facebook.com page. “David was different. I’ll never forget the caressing of our hands as we spoke, or the light in his eyes. That night something changed in me – I felt a calmness grow, a sureness. I think in those brief moments, he heralded me into my next new life, an old rock and roll alien angel in a perfect grey suit. I realised everything I’d ever done, or would do from then on, would be done like maybe he was watching.
“I realised I was proud of my spiky strangeness because he had been proud of his. And I know I’m never going to stop learning dances, brand new dances. It’s not going to change, how we feel about him. For the rest of our lives, we’ll always be crashing in that same car.”
