Loretta Lynn’s sister: ‘Keep the prayers coming’

Loretta Lynn’s sister Crystal Gayle has urged fans to continue keeping the country superstar in their prayers as she recovers from a stroke.
The Coal Miner’s Daughter singer was hospitalised in Nashville, Tennessee last week (ends05May17) after falling ill at her home in nearby Hurricane Mills, but she has been making good progress since receiving medical treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
Loretta’s sibling, fellow country singer Crystal, has been keeping fans updated on the 85-year-old’s health online, and she took to social media on Wednesday (10May17) to thank friends and fans for the outpouring of support.
She also assured devotees Loretta is in good hands.
“Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes for Loretta. Keep them coming!” she wrote. “We are lucky, in this day and age, to have wonderful doctors and nurses taking great care of her.”
Since the news of her stroke hit headlines, stars like Garth Brooks, Martina McBride, and Jennifer Nettles have all offered up their best wishes for the legendary singer.
Doctors have urged Loretta to take time to recuperate, and. as such, all her upcoming shows have been postponed.
