Lucy Hale has evolved, during her time on TV show Pretty Little Liars, to become more confident in her own skin.
The Pretty Little Liars actress may be an idol to many girls around the globe but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to suffering her own insecurities.
Speaking to People magazine’s StyleWatch, Lucy opened up about how she’s coped with discovering herself while in the spotlight and the challenges she’s had to overcome over the years.
“There are good days and bad days, but I’ve found (self-assurance) really does come with age,” she noted. “I think you hit a point where you accept who you are and what you look like and you kind of just roll with it. You find out what you like and what your strengths and weaknesses are – it develops over time.
“I started (Pretty Little Liars) when I was 20, and by the time it’s done, I’ll be 28. Eight years is a really long time, especially since you’re figuring yourself out the most during those years. I feel like I’ve grown a lot in my acting, and obviously my beauty evolution has come a long way too. There were some interesting choices in the beginning!”
The 27-year-old went on to discuss her ever-changing appearance and acknowledged her hair has seen the most switch-ups over the years as she’s so unattached to it that she’d even consider shaving it off.
