Madonna strips down to promote voting

Madonna is following in Katy Perry’s footsteps by stripping down to promote voting.
The Material Girl star, who is a vocal supporter of U.S. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, has taken to Instagram to urge her followers to head to the polls and vote for a new U.S. leader in November (16).
The 58-year-old posted a photo of herself exposing her breasts and added the caption: “Im voting naked with Katy Perry!! Vote for Hillary. She’s the Best we got! Nude Voting series # 1.”
On Tuesday (27Sep16), Katy, who is also a Clinton supporter, released a sketch for online comedy site Funny or Die, in which she encouraged the U.S. public to vote by telling them they could go to polling stations wearing whatever they like, as she got out of bed and walked to vote in white pyjamas printed with a pattern of the U.S. flag, and messy hair filled with pieces of popcorn and a lollipop.
“Hi I’m Katy Perry, you know, November 8th is election day and I’ve got some great news,” she said in the video. “This year you can look like s**t when you vote.
“Yep, I’ve briefly scanned the constitution and nowhere does it say you can’t just roll our of bed and come to the polls in whatever state you woke up in. In the name of democracy, any out-of-bed look is A-OK.”
After listing different looks people could wear at the polls, Katy stripped off her pyjamas and got completely naked, while two thick black bars were used to cover her modesty.
“I sleep naked,” she joked. “Yep, let those babies loose…”
She was then cut short by two police officers who arrested her for lewd behaviour. They placed her in the back of a cop car, where she joined Community actor Joel McHale, who was also trying to vote naked.
To end the sketch, Katy stuck her head out of the car window and said, “Scratch that, gotta wear clothes. See you at the polls November 8th!”
It concluded with a reminder to vote in November (16).
