Meghan Markle’s Former TV Drama ‘Suits’ to Continue Without Her

The TV show Meghan Markle quit last year (17) to become a royal has been picked up for an eighth season without her.

Suits producers have also officially confirmed the exits of Markle and fellow original cast member Patrick J. Adams, while promoting Dule Hill to a series regular.

He joins Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and Rick Hoffman for the eighth season of the legal drama. The remainder of season seven will premiere at the end of March (18).

The season finale is expected to feature Markle’s long-awaited TV wedding, just weeks before her real-life nuptials to Prince Harry.

Confirming he won’t be back for an eighth season, Adams reveals his character, Mike Ross, has taught him “a lot about commitment, hard work and the power of believing in yourself”, adding, “I feel blessed that now we both get to walk out into the lives that we never dreamed we would actually be lucky enough to live.”

While Markle has walked away from her career as an actress, Suits boss Aaron Korsch hopes Adams will be back: “Both of us are open, under right circumstances, of him coming back… Suits is an onscreen and offscreen family, and family members are always welcome back; we just have to come up with the right story line.”
