Michelle Williams is reportedly engaged to her businessman boyfriend Andrew Youmans.
The All the Money in the World star sparked speculation Andrew had proposed to her after appearing on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month (Jan18) with a sparkling heart-shaped diamond ring on her ring finger.
According to Us Weekly, multiple sources have confirmed the actress’ engagement to the 50-year-old financial consultant, with one insider saying, “She wants a good guy and a stable family life.”
Michelle, 37, was also pictured wearing the ring while on holiday with Andrew and Matilda, her 12-year-old daughter from her relationship with actor Heath Ledger, in The Bahamas over the New Year.
However, at the Golden Globes, the fiercely private actress told People magazine her shiny new accessory was merely “beautiful jewelry”.
The actress’ representatives told WENN they were “not commenting” on the reports of her engagement.
Next Monday (22Jan18), marks the 10th anniversary of Heath’s death from accidental prescription drug intoxication.
A friend of the star told Us Weekly that Michelle had waited to move on after the death of The Dark Knight star due to her commitment to her daughter.
“Michelle was totally focused on giving Matilda the best upbringing possible,” the pal said, while another added, “It took her a long time to get over Heath.”
During the decade since Heath’s death, she has had several relationships, including with director Spike Jonze and How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel, before being spotted with Andrew in Rome, where she was filming All the Money in the World, last year (17).
Michelle had previously said she did not expect to find love again, and in January last year told The Wall Street Journal, “The romantic idea of meeting your person and having a storybook family life that looks like the model you grew up with – that doesn’t really exist for me.”
