Murder on the Orient Express steams to the top of U.K. box office

The movie adaptation of Agatha Christie’s train thriller Murder On The Orient Express has steamed to the top of the U.K. box office.
The film, which features its director Kenneth Branagh as literary Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, Johnny Depp, Dame Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz, and Daisy Ridley, earned $6.6 million (£5 million) in British cinemas last weekend (03-05Nov17) to topple Marvel comic book blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok, which falls to second place with takings of $6 million (£4.6 million).
In third is Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell’s festive comedy A Bad Moms Christmas with $2.4 million (£1.8 million), while horror movie Jigsaw and Armando Iannucci’s historical satire The Death of Stalin round out the top five.
