Music producer AraabMuzik shot in New York

Hip-hop producer AraabMuzik has undergone surgery after suffering multiple gunshot wounds during an attempted robbery in New York City.
The star, real name Abraham Orellana, was in a Harlem parking garage with a friend on Thursday night (25Feb16), when they were targeted by two armed robbers.
Sources tell the New York Daily News the assailants tricked the beatmaker into thinking he’d dropped something as he climbed into his pal James Malloy’s BMW, and then started shooting.
The 26-year-old producer reportedly suffered bullet wounds to the head, jaw, and arm, while Malloy, 32, was also hit.
They were hospitalised but are both expected to bounce back from the incident.
A statement released to Billboard.com by AraabMuzik’s representative on Friday (26Feb16) reads: “Last night, AraabMUZIK was shot in Harlem and the incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD.
“He is out of surgery and expected to make a full recovery. Out of respect for his privacy and legal issues around this matter, no further comments will be made at this time.”
Authorities are currently searching for the two suspects, who fled the scene on foot.
It’s not the first time AraabMuzik, who has produced for the likes of Cam’Ron and Fabolous, has been shot during an attempted robbery after another incident in 2013.
