Faced with crushing losses as a result of two postponements of the annual Emmy Awards show, officials of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and executives of CBS continued talks Tuesday on a plan to produce some sort of suitable ceremony. Many analysts suggested that the awards show would most likely be taped at network studios in Hollywood and New York without a live audience, something that would require the academy to return $500-$600 to each of the 6000 ticket holders. The TV academy depends on the annual awards show to cover its operations.
