New York street to be named after The Ramones

Punk icons The Ramones have been honoured with a street in New York.
Ramones Way, in Queens, will be located by Forest Hills High School, where band members Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and Tommy attended school.
In April (16), city officials honoured the group with an exhibit, Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk, of memorabilia at the Queens museum. This month (Oct16), an expanded version of the exhibit will be featured at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, according to Billboard.com.
The new street sign will unveiled on 23 October (16).
