Nick Lachey has teased 98 Degrees fans that the band have “a little something in the works” to mark their 20th anniversary.
The singer was a quarter of the chart-topping 90s band, alongside brother Drew and singers Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre. The band haven’t released anything since their comeback album 2.0 in 2013, but Nick hinted there could be another musical offering in the pipeline to mark 20 years since they released their debut record 98° in 1997.
“This year is the 20th anniversary of our first record release so there is a little something in the works to celebrate our anniversary. We are working on right now… We are definitely plan on working together,” he told Fox News.
Nick’s personal life has also been going from strength to strength in recent years and he’s now a father of three, to four-year-old Camden, Brooklyn, two, and three-month-old Phoenix, with wife Vanessa.
His older children are starting to recognize that their father has something to do with the music industry, so Nick is hoping to continue teaching them about his day job.
“It’s fun to see them recognize that people go to see my dad sing… My son is getting to the age where it is starting to dawn on him in some weird way,” he smiled.
As well as his musical ventures, Nick has been working on promoting Cincinnati sports bar, Lachey’s, which he opened with brother Drew.
Speaking about the business, Nick explained: “It’s been a lot of fun, growing up in Cincinnati and opening up a sports bar has been a passion and something we dreamed about doing for a long time. We just celebrated our two year anniversary in January, so things are good the restaurant is doing well.”
