Obsessed Jade Thirlwall fan slapped with restraining order

An obsessed fan accused of stalking Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has been handed a restraining order.
Nabeel Waseem, 33, was arrested in January (16) for visiting Jade’s grandmother’s home in South Shields, England. He had also been bombarding the star’s friends and management with calls and emails.
Prosecutor Clare Irving said during a hearing South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in England this week (beg29Feb16) he had contacted the pop star’s management asking for a job.
She adds, “She (Jade) received a text message from a friend saying a male had been on the phone apologising for the email that had been sent but he was dying of epilepsy… He had spent thousands on tickets and albums and wanted to work for them for free.
“This has made Jade feel nervous and unsettled and scared for her own safety and that of her family… She said she felt harassed by the defendant’s actions and is in fear of physical violence.”
Waseem accepted the restraining order but had been planning to deny the claims that he stalked her between December (15) and January (16), as he alleges he was just trying to help her get better management.
His lawyer Geoff Forrester said, “He cannot plead guilty because he cannot accept he has done anything wrong…His motives have been well intended… He wishes nothing but the best for the group. He remains convinced they are not being represented as they should be by their management company.”
Prosecutors withdrew the charge. Magistrate John Lee told Waseem the restraining order will stand “unless you hear differently”. He added, “What this is telling you to do is stay away from her.”
