‘Party of Five’ Reboot in Development

A Party Of Five reboot is in the works.

Original series’ creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman are developing a new family drama, which will center on the MexicanAmerican Buendias siblings, who are left to fend for themselves after their parents are deported to Mexico.

The original 1990s show starred Scott Wolf, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell, and Jennifer Love Hewitt and focused on the five Salinger siblings, who were left orphaned when a drunk driver killed their parents in a car accident.

The hit series ran from 1994 to 2000 and spawned a spin-off, titled Time of Your Life, which starred Hewitt.

Keyser and Lippman will write the pilot and executive produce, while Rodrigo Garcia is set to direct.

The new show will air on cable network Freeform.
