In keeping with their annual tradition of naming the best and worst dressed celebrities, People magazine released the special issue this week, naming the fashionistas and fashion disasters of Hollywood.
Best Dressed
Among the artists included in this category were young stars Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde) and Katie Holmes (Dawson’s Creek), who looked very sophisticated in her Calvin Klein leather skirt. “It fit like a glove,” Holmes told the publication.
Heather Locklear, who looks fabulous in her 40s, was one of People‘s favorites; the panel of judges seemed to think she was born in a mini-skirt. “She has the most amazing body,” said her stylist Cary Fetman. “And she really tries to have fun with fashion.”
Also included in the list was Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore, Helen Hunt and Britney Spears, who wore a simple black gown and shiny locks at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
Grunge-girl-turned-diva Courtney Love surprisingly enough continues to make the Best Dressed list year after year, and this year was no exception..
Worst Dressed
When celebs have a bad hair day, People is there to capture their flaws on camera.
Such was the case with pop star Christina Aguilera’s massive Afro at this year’s Blockbuster Music Awards. Who could forget that? Hair that wild hasn’t been seen since the late ’80s.
Country singer Faith Hill also shocked many when she chopped off and bleached her beautiful hair before appearing at the People’s Choice Awards. We all hope it grows back soon.
Leonardo DiCaprio was also featured on the list. The crime? Looking like a scumbag. Apparently, his Romeo days are over and he’s forgotten how to bathe and shave.
