Phoebe Waller-Bridge ‘might write herself’ Killing Eve role

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is planning to write a role for herself in the upcoming third series of Killing Eve.
The Fleabag creator, 33, was lead writer of the show’s first series but gave up showrunner duties on its most recent run for projects including scripting the upcoming Bond 25 movie, which is set to drop next April (20).
Speaking to Britain’s The Sunday Mirror newspaper, Phoebe admitted she’d love to appear in the hit BBC drama – just to see her character meet a gruesome fate at the hands of Villanelle (Jodie Comer).
“I was like, I am going to write myself a part so that I can be murdered by Jodie,” she laughed.
Phoebe went on to reveal she originally wanted to play the role of Villanelle or MI5 agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) in the show but admitted she gave up on the idea because she believed other stars were better suited to the parts.
“I just had a really strong instinct that there should be this age gap because I just felt like it was something I hadn’t seen,” she shared. “I’m not a
25-year-old Jodie Comer – I mean, let’s be frank. And I don’t know if I could have scaled a wall quite like she could have done, and I’m not in my early 40s either.”
The second season of Killing Eve wrapped up last month (May19), with a planned third series currently in the works.
