Police suspect Chuck Mosley died of heroin overdose – report

Police officers reportedly suspect former Faith No More singer Chuck Mosley died of a heroin overdose.
The musician was found dead at his home in Cleveland, Ohio last Thursday (09Nov17) by a friend and his partner Pip Logan. He was 57 years old.
Cleveland police officials have now told TMZ.com that two syringes, a small bag and a spoon containing residue were found alongside his body.
Investigators are still waiting on toxicology results from the city’s Medical Examiner’s office, but according to editors at the gossip website, they suspect he died of a drugs overdose.
In a statement released after Mosley’s death, his family said he had succumbed to “the disease of addiction” following a “long period of sobriety”.
Mosley became Faith No More’s permanent frontman in 1984 but was fired four years later for erratic behaviour – just as the band had begun to garner mainstream success.
After the rocker’s death, the group paid tribute to him in a Facebook post that described him as, “A reckless and caterwauling force of energy who delivered with conviction and helped set us on a track of uniqueness and originality that would not have developed the way it had had he not been a part.”
