![]() ![]() Angelina Jolie, 30.3%
How She Did in Our Poll Last Year: In 2003, the lush-lipped Jolie didn’t quite make the list, but in 2002 she tied for second with über sex symbol Britney Spears. Sexiest Role: If you weren’t hung up on Tomb Raider’s video game vixen Lara Croft before, you certainly were after Jolie gave her life on the big screen. She effectively shushed any naysayers among the zillions of Croft fetishists who wondered if she’d measure up to the awesomely endowed icon: “I’ll make it real simple, I’m a 36C. In the game, she’s a double D. In the movie, she’s a D. We split the difference…she has smaller breasts, but she’s still Lara Croft, so there.” We’re sold. Best Quote: “You’re young, you’re drunk, you’re in bed, you have knives; s**t happens.” OK, we don’t even know what that means, but we we’re willing to buy some gin and a Ginsu to find out. - Advertisement -
Sexiest Scene: There’s no shortage of steamy sequences in Angelina’s cinematic oeuvre, but we’ll point you straight to Gia, in which Angelina–playing the real-life omnisexual supermodel Gia Carangi–enjoys a scintillating Sapphic spin in the sheets with Elizabeth Mitchell after an erotically charged photo shoot, then pleads for her to stick around in the film’s most literally and emotionally naked scene. Physical Feature We Love: It’s a toss-up: In the gifted-by-nature department, its gotta be those sexy, sensuous, super-sized lips–or maybe her whole mouth, as it looks like it might be just as exciting to be bitten by Angelina as to be kissed by her. In the gifted-by-permanent ink department, we’d adore a guided tour of each of her exotic tattoos, which include the Japanese sign for death, two pointy black American Indian symbols, a dragon, a large black cross, the letter “H” (for brother James Haven), the Tennesee Williams quote, “A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages,” and the Latin phrase Quod me nutrit me destruit (“What nourishes me also destroys me”). In Her Future:Jolie stars with Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Bai Ling in the upcoming sci-fi adventure, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, due out this summer. She’ll also appear in Oliver Stone’s biopic Alexander alongside Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins. |

![]() Johnny Depp, 13.2%
How He Did in Our Poll Last Year: Last year was Florida boy Johnny Depp’s first time on the list, which is somewhat surprising. Ever since 21 Jump Street he’s been the hottie of choice for many a pubescent girl. Since then, thanks to high-profile films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Pirates of the Caribbean, he’s climbed three notches up to No. 2. Sexiest Role: Since Depp is known for making oddball films and playing bizarre characters like Edward Scissorhands and Hunter S. Thompson, it’s tough to find the chiseled actor in a traditionally sexy role. From Hell comes close if you’re into the whole dark, death thing, but for romance you still can’t beat John Waters’ 1990 Cry Baby, the flick that made Depp a fave amongst the Breakfast Club set. Best Quote: When he was arrested in London during the filming of Sleepy Hollow in 1999 for allegedly threatening paparazzi, Depp reportedly said, “The beauty, the poetry of the fear in their eyes. I didn’t mind going to jail for, what, five, six hours? It was absolutely worth it.” Ooooh. Talk tough. - Advertisement -
Sexiest Scene: Remember when Cry Baby really cries? Over that tattoo? How cute was that? Physical Feature We Love: It’s some combination of chiseled cheekbones and deep eyes that are a little sad–and a little scary. In His Future: Prolific as always, Depp has myriad projects on tap, many of them geared for the kiddies, surprisingly enough, including the title role in J.M. Barrie’s Neverland, based on the life of the Peter Pan author and the highly anticipated 2004 holiday film based on the popular Lemony Snicket children’s book series. In 2005, Depp will play Willie Wonka in a remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and will star in the sequel to Pirates. |
