Priyanka Chopra: ‘I don’t have time for a personal life!’

Priyanka Chopra is in a “constant state of exhaustion” due to her incredibly busy work schedule.
The 33-year-old star first found fame when she won the Miss World pageant in 2000 and has made a name for herself as an actress to watch over the past few years. She made history when she became the first South Asian woman to headline an American network series with her role as Alex Parrish on Quantico and has just started shooting Baywatch with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron. Her professional commitments mean she doesn’t have much time to rest, but Priyanka said she has become accustomed to that way of living.
“There is no time for a personal life… I’m just constantly working and in a constant state of exhaustion,” she told HuffPost India. “I’ve always been like that, I’ve always been a workaholic. I’m grateful for it.”
As well as her acting career, Priyanka has an amazing voice, and collaborated with will.i.am on 2012 single In My City and Pitbull on Exotic the following year.
Her television role has meant she hasn’t had much time to focus on her singing, but Priyanka is hoping to change that in 2016.
“There has been no time for music in the past year,” she said. “But I do plan to go into the studio some time this year. I don’t think I’ll come out with an album, though; it’ll probably be singles.”
One thing Priyanka is more than aware of is not to take her success for granted. While she is currently one of Hollywood’s hottest leading ladies, she knows that things can change in an instant.
“There is just never any consistency when it comes to success,” she explained. “My entire career has been full of low phases, with some good times in between, and this is one of those. The only thing I’ve learnt, after all these years, is that you have to get over your failures and try and make the most of whatever opportunities that come your way. That’s all I’m trying to do.”
