Radcliffe is magic at Potter karaoke

The British actor has been taking vocal lessons since signing up for Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which will hit the New York stage next year (11).

Radcliffe admits he enjoyed showing off his new talents during a recent night out with the cast of the boy wizard movies.

He tells MTV.com, “I love karaoke. I am one of those people (who says), ‘No, no, I can’t, I couldn’t possibly, no I won’t… All right, give me the mic!’ And then I’m elbowing other people out of the way to get to the stage.

“(I sang Elvis Presley’s) Hound Dog. That, and then I did Feeling Good by Muse. That was my proudest moment, because I actually did that rather well. I was really pleased, because I can sing. I’ve been having singing lessons for two and a half years. I’m not amazing, obviously, but I’m all right.”

And Radcliffe reveals some of his colleagues also enjoyed a turn in the spotlight, with Rupert Grint performing Sonny and Cher’s I Got You Babe, and Ollie Phelps, who plays George Weasley, stunning the crowd with a rendition of the Beastie Boys’ (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).
