Rapper Nas launching apparel collection with The Thread Shop

Rapper Nas is launching a new apparel and accessories collection through Sony Music’s licensing and merchandising creative agency.
The One Mic star is working with designers at The Thread Shop to create the line. He is also planning to work on different projects with the company.
“The work Thread Shop is doing now is incredible,” Nas says. “They are the experts when it comes to strategic artist collaborations and were the obvious choice when I was looking to work with a full service creative agency. We are going to collaborate on a variety of projects this year. I’m excited for people to see what we have in store.”
This isn’t the first apparel collection for the rapper – in 2013, he created Hstry with Grungy Gentleman and he relaunched the line as a stand-alone brand the following year.
The new line will reportedly be inspired by his music. The pieces will range from $28 (£22) to $350 (£270) and release dates will coincide with his music releases and festival gigs.
“It’s not just going to be album images on a T-shirt,” The Thread Shop Vice President Frances Wong says. “It’s about dissecting the messaging he has within his music and conveying that within the apparel.”
