Real-life couple Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale are teaming onstage for a revamp of Euripides’ classic tragedy Medea.
The couple will star in Simon Stone’s adaptation at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in January (20), almost six years after the play was first staged by Amsterdam’s International Theatre in Holland.
Stone’s take on the story revolves around the real-life crimes of Debora Green, who poisoned her cheating husband and killed two of her three children in 1995.
The adaptation was a hit when it played at London’s Barbican theatre this year (19).
