The Welsh actor, who played Robin Colcord in the hit U.S. sitcom, is set to replace Nathan Lane as patriarch Gomez in the Broadway production from next spring (11) opposite Neuwirth as Morticia, according to Variety.
No reason has been given for the change of line-up.
It’s not the first time Rees and Neuwirth have appeared onstage together – they starred in a 1999 production of The Taming of the Shrew in Massachusetts, and in Cabaret Verboten in Los Angeles.

Rees is due to join The Addams Family musical on March 22 (11).
