Ricky Wilson suffering with ‘stress-induced’ shingles

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is suffering with shingles.
The band is currently gearing up for the release of their seventh studio album Duck. And in an interview with The Guardian, the 41-year-old revealed he’s been struck by the illness for a third time, and blamed the pressures of his work schedule for the outbreak.
“Always during periods of massive stress,” the I Predict A Riot hitmaker added. “It’s not that contagious – you’d have to literally wear my clothes to catch it.”
The star confessed his long-term battle with anxiety often results in stress-induced illnesses, and revealed the build up to major events can often trigger anxious feelings.
“I get anxious when I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he shared. “So throwing yourself into any kind of abyss, whether it’s splitting up with someone or leaving a band…”
Last month (Jun19), the star also opened up about his struggle in an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper, and revealed the condition affected him significantly early in his career.
“I used to throw up every time before I went on stage. It’s like a migraine in your stomach – an intestinal migraine,” he admitted. “I don’t do it any more… I just imagine I’m excited, and it turns it around in my head. That’s my little trick.”
Duck is slated for release on 26 July.
