Rolling Stones play secret set for truckers ahead of Desert Trip festival

The Rolling Stones played a surprise set for a bunch of truckers in Las Vegas on Monday night (03Oct16).
Bosses at semi-truck company Freightliner hired the band to play a surprise set at their annual customer appreciation dinner at the Bellagio, and the band decided to turn the gig into a warm-up for their Desert Trip festival shows.
Mick Jagger and his bandmates treated the crowd to renditions of Start Me Up, Gimme Shelter, and Mixed Emotions – a track they haven’t played live in 25 years.
Meanwhile, fans are awaiting a major announcement later this week (06Oct16), before the group hits the stage at the inaugural Desert Trip event on Saturday (08Oct16).
The band’s website has been updated to include a teaser video, titled The Rolling Stones – Coming October 6, which features footage of the group inside British Grove Studios, in London.
Rumours suggest the Stones are set to announce the release of a new blues album.
