Ronan Farrow to expose Harvey Weinstein’s alleged abuse tactics in new book

Ronan Farrow will expose the tactics Harvey Weinstein and other powerful men used to allegedly “cover up crimes and abuse” in a new book.
The reporter son of actress Mia Farrow won a Pulitzer Prize for his reporting on the 2017 sexual abuse claims against the movie mogul, which prompted the #MeToo and Time’s Up anti-harassment and equal rights movements, and now he’s set to go into further detail with the release of his new book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators.
“Catch and Kill is a true account of the extreme tactics powerful men use to cover up crimes and abuse – and of the sources who took huge personal risks to expose the truth,” the 31-year-old told People. “I’m grateful to have the chance to tell this story.”
A spokesperson for Weinstein has told the publication: “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”
Following Farrow’s sensational reports, the newsman made his debut on The Hollywood Reporter’s Most Powerful People in Entertainment list last year (18).
Meanwhile, Weinstein is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday (26Aug19), ahead of his criminal trial, which will take place over an estimated five weeks, beginning on 9 September. The 67-year-old producer has pleaded not guilty to five criminal charges in an earlier indictment, including rape and predatory sexual assault, and could spend the rest of his life behind bars, if convicted.
Catch and Kill is released on 15 October.
