Ronnie Wood grateful to doctors after lung surgery

Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood has thanked doctors after undergoing successful surgery to fix a lesion on his lung.
Medics discovered the growth during a routine screening and successfully treated it recently with keyhole surgery, according to the rocker’s publicist.
The 69-year-old has now been given the all-clear and he is celebrating by paying tribute to his steady-handed doctors.
“I’m so grateful for modern screening which picked this up so early, and would like to thank all the doctors who treated me,” he says.
No upcoming Rolling Stones dates will be affected by Ronnie’s surgery – Mick Jagger and the band have a string of European dates lined up for later this year (17).
Meanwhile, Ronnie is enjoying a clean bill of health these days after kicking his booze habit and quitting smoking last year (16).
