Sam Elliott shocked George Clooney is married and going to be a father

Actor Sam Elliott was shocked to hear his old friend George Clooney was married and expecting twins with his wife Amal, because he was convinced the movie star would forever be a bachelor with no kids.
The Gravity star married the human rights attorney in 2014 and the couple is now awaiting the arrival of its babies in the near future. Sam first worked worked with George in 2000 and then again in 2009, and he reveals their conversations about their personal lives led him to believe the actor would remain single.
“I worked with George a number of years ago on a live television remake of Fail Safe and I saw him later in a picture called Up in the Air and we talked at that time and he wasn’t married and it was long before, I believe, Amal came into his life,” Sam told U.S. chat show The Talk.
“I remember him talking to me about the fact that Katharine (Ross) and I had been married for a long time and (he would say), ‘How do you do it? What’s the secret?’ and it sounded like he was well confirmed as a bachelor and never going to be married. So you never know.”
George and Amal’s twins are due later this month (Jun17), and the actor missed a peace prize ceremony in Yerevan, Armenia over the weekend (27-28May17) because he feared his wife would go into labour while he was away.
“I really would have been (in Yerevan) but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home,” he said in a video message that was played at the ceremony.
