Sarah Jessica Parker tapped to front lingerie campaign

Sarah Jessica Parker has been tapped to star in lingerie brand Intimissimi’s new campaign.

The actress is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw on hit HBO TV series Sex and the City, on which she was often seen sporting quirky outfits which were matched with designer shoes.

Sarah, 53, has previously shown off her flair for fashion in commercials for clothing brands Gap and Jordache and beauty company Garnier and now she’s about to branch out into the underwear market with a campaign for Italy-based Intimissimi.

Paparazzi photographs taken earlier in the week (begins04Jun18), show the actress walking around Manhattan’s West Village while wearing one of Intimissimi’s signature black “bralette” designs under a pair of navy blue satin pyjamas.

The look was topped off with a blingy necklace and matching bracelets, an embellished purse and a pair of sparkly silver pointed pumps from her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker footwear collection.

Since then, editors at WWD have reported that Sarah was shooting marketing imagery for Intimissimi and has been confirmed by label bosses as the new face of the brand.

The advertising is due to drop in October. Sarah follows in the footsteps of model Irina Shayk, actress Dakota Johnson, sportswoman Ana Ivanovic and blogger Chiara Ferragni in fronting an Intimissimi campaign.

Sarah has not commented on her latest gig or shared photos on social media. However, on Thursday, she marked the 20th anniversary of Sex and the City by uploading a snap of one of her outfits to her Instagram page.

“Choosing pictures/words, almost impossible. Where to begin? It’s too much. ‘Were those some of the best years of your life?’Abso-f&*#-ing-lutely. X, SJ,” she captioned the snap.

As well as acting in HBO show Divorce, Sarah also runs her footwear and accessories label and most recently unveiled her first bridal range as part of a collaboration with U.S. company Gilt.
