[IMG:L]Saturday Night Live — 11:25/10/25c on NBC
Ah… Isn’t it nice to see TV slowly but surely getting back to normal?
And believe it or not, Saturday Night Live is the first show to actually return after a strike-induced hiatus.
After months of not delivering on the “live” part of its name, Lorne Michaels’ SNL comes back tonight.
And in keeping with the “return” theme, Tina Fey returns to host the show she helped keep on its feet a few years up until a few years ago as a writer/star.
She now works in much the same capacity–only with funnier results–on NBC’s Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning 30 Rock, which is loosely based on a Saturday Night Live-type show.
It’ll be interesting to see how Fey fares on her old stomping grounds, now that she has emerged a full-blown star–following her largely behind-the-camera stint at SNL.
Carrie Underwood is the musical guest.
