Sequel to “Spider-Man” in works

Columbia Pictures feels so confident about the upcoming summer blockbuster Spider-Man that the studio has already signed deals with the film’s creative team to produce a sequel.

Come on, like any of us are surprised by this?

Stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and director Sam Raimi have all come onboard for the second installment of the superhero adventure, as well as producers Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad and Ian Bryce. Filming will begin early next year.
