Sha Na Na singer Lennie Baker dies

Sha Na Na fans are mourning the death of singer Lennie Baker, five months after losing founder Dennis Greene.
Baker, 69, passed away on Wednesday (24Feb16) at a hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, where he was being treated after developing a “serious” infection, reveals his nephew, David Baker.
The longtime Sha Na Na vocalist and saxophone player is known for singing the lead on the a cappella group’s hit Blue Moon, while he also appeared in 1978 movie musical Grease with the band.
He retired from the line-up in 2000, after 30 years, due to failing health, and in 2002, he underwent a kidney transplant. Baker had been living in an assisted-care facility since 2014, according to The Associated Press.
His former bandmate, Greene, died in September (15) following a brief illness. He was 66.
