Shawn Crahan grateful for fans’ support after daughter’s death

Slipknot star Shawn Crahan has thanked fans for their support following the death of his daughter.
The heavy rocker, who performs using the stage name Clown, went public with the tragic news on social media on Sunday (19May19), revealing 22-year-old Gabrielle had passed away.
He asked for privacy as he, his wife Chantel, and their three surviving children mourned their loss, but Crahan has since returned to social media to express their gratitude for all of the messages of condolence they have received in the last few days.
A statement posted on Slipknot’s official Twitter page reads: “Firstly: Chantel, Alexandria, Gage, Simon and I would like to thank everyone for the endless amount of love, prayers, thoughts, and kindness we have been receiving.
“While it is not possible for me to read and respond to each individual message & comment right now, I want you to know that we can feel the energy shared and we are so grateful. You have all proven that there is empathy, positivity, & strength in this community that we call humanity here on Earth.”
Gabrielle’s funeral will take place this weekend (26May19) in Des Moines, Iowa.
A cause of death has not been confirmed.
