She’s not a (Pretty Little) Liar! Lucy Hale loves her job

Lucy Hale thinks working on Pretty Little Liars is “the best job in the world”.
The 26-year-old actress plays Aria Montgomery on the show, which tells the story of five friends targeted and tormented by a mysterious character called ‘A’.
The sixth season of the programme is currently airing, with the seventh reported to be the last.
While Lucy has enjoyed every second of working on the series, she feels it might be the right time for the girls to bow out.
“It is ending. I know, it’s crazy,” she said during an interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday night (25Feb16). “We’ve been doing it for six years, I’ve literally spent my twenties on the show and I think that all good things must come to an end.
“Who knows what could happen? I love that show, I love the people I work with – it’s really fun, it’s the best job in the world, I count my blessings every day, I can’t believe I get to wake up and do that.”
Pretty Little Liars is known for keeping its fans on their toes – the fifth season ended with the unveiling of ‘A’, with the sixth season picking up 10 years later.
The girls are now facing another tormentor, and Lucy is hoping that the tragedy continues up to the finale of the whole show.
“I always used to say I wanted the show to end with them walking away in the sunset, they’re all happy, living an A-free life, no drama, right?” she said. “But I don’t, I want it to end really tragically!”
Lucy appeared on the show alongside Triple 9 star Casey Affleck. During the interview, James quizzed both Lucy and Casey about police slang and whether they knew what a selection of phrases meant.
When James presented them with “Badge Bunny”, Lucy was correct in guessing it meant a girl who liked getting together with police officers.
“I might know a few girls who are kind of that girl…” Lucy laughed. “Not me, that’s not my thing but yeah!”
James then joked that Lucy preferred firemen, to which she replied: “Exactly! How did you know?”
