Simon Cowell staying on as America’s Got Talent judge until 2019

Simon Cowell is staying on as a judge of U.S. competition show America’s Got Talent until 2019.
The 56-year-old created Britain’s Got Talent in 2005 and signed on as a judge of the American version earlier this year (16). Cowell is also the executive producer of the show.
“America’s Got Talent is a fantastic and – most importantly – fun show both to work on and to watch,” Cowell says. “(Bosses at network) NBC have been brilliant partners and the entire team who make this show are one of the best in the world. I’ve loved this past season and look forward to discovering more great talent together in the years to come.”
Cowell appeared alongside former Spice Girls singer Mel B, model Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel as a judge on the show. The trio will also return for another season and Nick Cannon will come back as host of the show for the 12th season.
