Soulja Boy to shun old pals following prison release

Soulja Boy is planning to alter his social circle to cut out bad influences following his release from jail.
The rapper was released from a Los Angeles prison earlier this month (Jul19) after he was sentenced to serve 240 days in jail and 265 days of community service for violating a probation agreement in April.
Sources close to the star tell that the three months Soulja, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, spent in L.A. County Jail has convinced him to turn his life around, cut off friends who might not have his best interests at heart, and limit his time on social media.
Insiders also tell the gossip site that he has kicked a group of hangers-on out of his San Fernando Valley home, as it was burgled while he was in prison.
Thieves made off with $500,000 (£400,000) in cash, jewellery and his iPhone, and the 28-year-old is reportedly convinced the crime was an inside job. He is also apparently wary of social media as the criminals responsible used his social media accounts after the incident.
The star’s original arrest related to a police raid on his home when cops found ammunition during an investigation into claims he tied up an ex and held her captive in his garage.
