Britany Spears, ‘N Sync and Faith Hill will be among several artists to read prayers by Pope John Paul II on a spoken-word CD due out at Christmas. The CD will serve as a companion piece to The Private Prayer Books of John Paul II, a seven-volume collection of his personal writings, The Associated Press reports. The Vatican will donate portions of the proceeds to selected charities. Compulsion Entertainment and Pocket Books have bought the North American rights. A video/DVD of the making of the CD also will be released.
