Steps star Ian ‘H’ Watkins is a father of twins

Former Steps star Ian ‘H’ Watkins and his partner Craig Ryder have become parents to twin boys.
The singer announced their new arrivals on Twitter with a picture of two medical wristbands which showed the newborns were born on Sunday (06Mar16) at 02:14 and 02:17 respectively. At the bottom of each band the kids have been labelled “Baby ‘A’ Boy” and “Baby ‘B’ Boy”.
In the caption, Watkins writes, “We are DADS! (baby emojis) We are totally & utterly in Love ! #Twins.”
The boys were born via surrogate. The couple had tried for children before but were left heartbroken when their previous surrogate suffered a miscarriage in 2012.
Watkins, 39, announced their baby news in an animated video in December (15) where a cartoon version of the couple held up a banner which read, “We are going… to be dads”, before a cartoon child fell from the sky.
It was followed by the message, “For many years… We have been wishing… And our wish… Is about to come true”.
Watkins previously spoke about the devastating loss he suffered in 2012. He told The People, “Finding out our surrogate had miscarried was like being hit in the face. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me… I just feel really empty and helpless. Right now, nobody can do anything for us. The only person who can help me is Craig.”
The couple has been together for eight years.
