Stormy Daniels Deflects Questioning Over Alleged Affair with Donald Trump

Stormy Daniels deflected questions regarding an alleged affair with President Donald Trump during a TV appearance on Tuesday night (30Jan18).

The pornographic actress, real name Stephanie Clifford, made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! shortly after Trump delivered his State of the Union address, and while she released a statement denying any relationship with him in 2006 shortly before the show aired, she proved evasive when quizzed by the talk show host.

Asked whether she had signed the letter, Daniels stated, “I don’t know, did I? That does not look like my signature, does it?”

Questioned further on whether the statement had been released without her approval, she added, “I do not know where it came from. It came from the Internet. I also work for the FBI and I am a man, according to the Internet today.”

The reports of an affair between Daniels and Trump, who has been married to Melania Trump since 2005, emerged after In Touch Weekly recently published a transcript of a 2011 interview, which included an allegation by the adult film star that she had sex with Trump after meeting him at a charity golf tournament in 2006.

White House officials have previously dismissed the allegations, as well as a report in The Wall Street Journal claiming Daniels was paid $130,000 to stay silent.

During the interview, Daniels remained coy over whether she was subject to a non-disclosure agreement, merely replying: “Do I?”

And when queried if she had conducted the 2011 interview, the 38-year-old told Jimmy: “Not as it is written.”

Prior to the interview, a statement released in Daniels‘ name was released, and said, “Over the past few weeks I have been asked countless times to comment on reports of an alleged sexual relationship I had with Donald Trump many, many, many years ago.

“The fact of the matter is that each party to this alleged affair denied its existence in 2006, 2011, 2016, 2017 and now again in 2018. I am not denying this affair because I was paid ‘hush money’ as has been reported in overseas-owned tabloids.”

Trump’s lawyer has also issued a denial.
